Coffee Break is a monthly program organized and supported by the Laguna Beach PTA Council’s Parent Education Committee. The event is a talk or panel featuring guest speakers: local professional parents, invited ‘out of town’ speakers or some internationally renowned speakers. These speakers generously donate their time to present a topic that is relevant to parents, guardians and mentors.

Coffee Break is open to all parents, LBUSD personnel and the public. The talks are generally held on the third Wednesday of the month at the Aliso Creek Inn and Golf Course, from 8.15 to 10.00am. Coffee is available from 8.00am. The speakers commence at 8.30am, usually last for one hour and are followed by questions from the audience. Admission to the talks is $10.00 and includes coffee, tea, bagels, and pastries.

Coffee Break talks offer insight into the vital issues of raising healthy, responsible and competent children. The monthly forum provides an opportunity for all participants to learn new information, share their experiences, and connect with other parents who have similar concerns and desires for their children. The school district superintendent, assistant superintendent, school site principals, and members of the school board together with parents, guardians and mentors regularly attend the talks.
